Divide and Dissolve – “TFW”
It is a humble and demanding petition for Indigenous Sovereignty, decolonization in all it’s formations, our connection with the Earth, Water, Life, people and our responsibilities.
Australian based doom and drone metal outfit Divide and Dissolve share TFW.
The 7” is the band’s latest release and features RVR, which was released as single ahead of the release of TFW.
“TFW is a map we created to fight the dispossession that we both experience and strive to negate. It is a humble and demanding petition for Indigenous Sovereignty, decolonization in all it’s formations, our connection with the Earth, Water, Life, people and our responsibilities.TFW is a manifestation of our resistance to colonization, slavery, racism, the carceral state, imperialism, and oppressive power structures and idealogies.”
Although largely instrumental, the band has been vocal throughout their history in regards to what they stand for and they continue to use their voice, and their platform, “to secure Black futures, liberation, and freedom; demand Indigenous Sovereignty; uplift people of color’s experiences; and destroy white supremacy.”
